It's a Warrior/Monk. It's hard to train them to Dire though.....mostly come out Playful. You are better off with a Dune Lizard.

I use em all the time as fodder for my MM though.

It's a Kirin, an asian version of the Unicorn. Except that it's part horse, dragon and other stuff.

I got it right away. funny. I'll bet that the second picture is not a pet. looks too big. Maybe a npc's ride? or a creature to fight. or a friendly creature like a untameable warthogs/spiders in pre-sear. Really I have no idea other than probably not a pet.

Honestly, that has got to be the most ugly kirin I had ever seen... I suppose they didn't make that thing to be good looking. (most likely one of the monster you will be killing...)
